Walter Kendall and the origins of Bolshevism

The ILP’s paper Socialist Leader ran some interesting articles in the 1950s and 60s.

In the summer of 1962 Socialist Leader they published a series of four short articles by Walter Kendall, on Bolshevism, which discussed Social Democracy and its failings, the rise of Bolshevism in World War 1 and the subsequent perceived failure of Leninism in the West.

The four articles, reproduced below, are followed by a letter by a D Anderson taking up some of the points raised.

I do not have the full papers for these so cannot provide the rest of Ray Challinor’s article on CND and arms workers…
