Socialist Solidarity Network (& a Socialist Democracy Group update)

Duncans thingThe Socialist Solidarity Network was founded in 2000 and consisted mostly of former members of the Socialist Party.

It was strongly supportive of the Socialist Alliance in England and Wales, and the Scottish Socialist Party, arguing that the Alliance should transform itself into a party on the SSP model.

The SSN published at least two issues of a magazine Red Shift.

The Socialist Democracy Group merged into the SSN in 2002 and the following year the fused organisation joined with the ISG to launch the Socialist Resistance newspaper.

In addition to the nine issues of Socialist Democracy already in our archive, we have now added the following:

SD Discussion and Information Bulletin 1

SD Discussion and Information Bulletin 2

A leaflet on the SLP, one on the need to take the Scottish Road and an SD statement on the way forward for socialists in Britain…
